Course Description

This course will lay out the unique stages of Somatic Experiential Play Therapy, as well as highlight the types of responses that are most helpful in each stage. This will help equip you, the therapist, to understand how to best support and challenge the nervous systems of children in the playroom based on what their capacity is at each unique stage of therapy.

This course expands on the foundation laid in the Intro to SEPT training, providing practical application of its principles to enhance your skills and elevate your effectiveness as a therapist.

Melissa Wetterlund, MA, LP, LMFT, RPR-S is the co-creator of the Somatic Experiential Play Therapy model, owner of Watershed Psychological Services, and adjunct faculty in numerous graduate counseling programs.
